# Chemical Process Technology

Train to be a production operator in chemical manufacturing, food and beverage production, oil refining, power generation, or wastewater treatment. The Associate in Applied Science provides a foundation for career entry or transfer to a bachelor's program in applied engineering, and a platform for advancement into supervision roles. Students learn in small classes from industry-experienced instructors in a state-of-the-art process plant lab on Delta's main campus. Core competencies include health, safety, and environmental compliance; chemical handling and disposal per regulations; process operation and monitoring; collaboration with chemical engineers; and routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
